CEO & Founder

Roman Sandoval

Roman is an engineer turned CEO/Founder of Allosense, a San Antonio technology startup that makes advanced sensors for electric vehicle manufacturing, government, and defense. With over 15 years of industry experience, Roman led engineering efforts at Tesla, Apple, Intel, Qualcomm, and National Instruments; integrating high-volume data acquisition and test solutions for new product introductions. He was responsible for the production of electric car batteries, nuclear fuel-rod scanners, mobile device communications, RF integrated circuits, night vision goggles, and software-defined radios. Roman attended multiple business accelerators: Expa 2021, OnDeck 2021, Capital Factory 2020, Geekdom 2020, and Techstars 2019. He is a designated principal investigator for defense-related contracts and an AFWERX space coach. He continues to remain passionate about science, technology, community service, and entrepreneurship.

Lead Electrical Engineer

Nicolas Gallardo

Nicolas is the lead Electrical Engineer at Allosense. He has deep understanding and expertise of embedded systems in robotics and IoT.  Previously, he worked as an engineer to prevent hospital acquired infections at Xenex Disinfection Systems and worked to reduce peak power grid usage by designing a suite of IoT devices at Electrolab, Inc. Nicolas was instrumental in developing Smart Walker technology for the blind and Large Scale Autonomous Vehicle Systems at the University of Texas at San Antonio's Autonomous Control Engineering Lab.

Roman Sandoval founded Allosense, leveraging over 15 years of experience in engineering and high-volume manufacturing testing, notably impacting product launches at Tesla and Apple. He oversaw the deployment of manufacturing equipment worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Roman is the principal investigator of defense contracts and is involved with notable business accelerators, showcasing his commitment to technology, entrepreneurship, and giving back to the community.
